RN Bridge Program (Salem or Springfield)

Take your LPN or paramedic license to the next level by becoming a Registered Nurse through SBU's bridge program

Looking to turn your LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or Paramedic license into an RN (Registered Nurse)? If you have already obtained an LPN or Paramedic license, you may go through the RN bridge program to pursue an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree at the Southwest Baptist University-Springfield Campus or the Southwest Baptist University-Salem Campus.

The Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree is a two-year program that prepares you to practice as a registered nurse in a variety of health care settings. You will graduate with an associate’s degree, preparing you for the NCLEX-RN to become a Registered Nurse (RN). The ASN education program provides foundational nursing knowledge and skills to prepare you for your career in nursing.

Completion of the nursing associate's program does not guarantee eligibility to take the licensure exam.

The RN bridge program is offered through SBU's College of Health Professions.
